The not-for-profit Atalanta Hospice Society (AHS) founded and registered in the province of Nova Scotia in 2017 is a group of local residents, business people and medical practitioners living in Digby and Annapolis counties who determined that the lack of hospice care in Southwest Nova Scotia was a critical issue that needed to be addressed. Through numerous meetings and discussions, it was decided that the group would forge ahead with the intention of making a local hospice become a reality. The Fundy Hospice project will take until 2030 to complete and will depend upon the generous support of our communities to help make this initiative a success.

Our mission is to offer respectful, dignified and caring support for end-of-life care.

The Atalanta Hospice Society is a registered charity ( registration number: 799430913RR0001 ) that will develop a variety of initiatives to increase the level of awareness of the Fundy Hospice project and to develop and execute fundraising events, all for the purpose to eventually fund the construction of a five bed residential style hospice.
